APIC Manager: Some features explained.

In the past months, we’ve again upgraded the APIC Manager in many different ways. Here’s an overview of all new things you can do. Try them and you’ll find them extremely easy to use!

1. Introducing categories

In APIC Manager Pro you can easily categorise your images by clicking on one of the four predefined categories: dish, wine, ingredient or miscellaneous. This helps you to find your images and add information specific to the photo. In stead of just adding a title to the photo (which is still possible), you can now add more info dedicated to the type of photo you took.

Dishes is just great!
For example, when you take a photo of a dish, you can now categorise it as such and add information like season, type, philosophy, recipes, etc. to the this dish. When you look up the dish, you will find all the info related to it on one overview page.

It is also possible to add multiple recipes to one dish, so when you’re using two or three different recipes in one dish, let’s say a basic stock, a potato recipe and a meat recipe, you can add the lot of them to the dish and easily access, print and overview all the information connected to this dish.

2. Search & Find is more sophisticated then ever

By categorising your images into the four aforementioned categories, you can easily search them. You can use instant search on the different category pages or you can use the global library search to find everything related to the search term. Use tags on photos to search even further.

You can now also order your dishes, wines and recipes both on date of creation, or alphabetically - allowing you to find more easily what you’re looking for.

3. Albums

It was already possible to created photo albums, which allows you to create the nicest stop-motion videos and share them with your friends and followers. But now it’s also possible to create albums from dishes and recipes. They’re integrated straight into the two views. It is possible to put a recipe or a dish into different albums.

So for example, when you have just created a killer new starter that’s due for spring, you might want to put this in the album “2015″, as it is from this year, but also in the starters album, so you can have an overview of all the starters in one album.

That’s it for this time…

Stay tuned for later. We will post more of this in the near future.
