Last night, the World's 50 Best Restaurants were revealed in Bilbao, Spain. A new number one and a European top 3, it is!

Osteria Francescana is the World's Best Restaurant
The first place was for Osteria Francescana, a 3 Michelin star restaurant, located in Modena, Italy. Chef and owner Massimo Bottura is a well-known chef, but the restaurant remains a small and discrete restaurant with only 12 tables. On the menu, you'll find the Italian classics with an artsy twist and with a focus on local specialties like Five Ages of Parmigiano Reggiano and Adriatic Chowder. The restaurant is not a new winner as it ended first in 2016 as well and second in 2017.

European top 3
The second and third place were also for European restaurants, with the famous El Cellar de can Rocca from Girona, Spain on number 2 and Mirazur from Menton, France on number 3. They were number 3 and number 4, respectively, in 2017.
